Announcing PCI Express Support for SPOT Xplorer and Pursuit Digital Cameras

Diagnostic Instruments introduces PCI Express as an optional connectivity update for Pursuit and Xplorer high performance scientific digital camera systems.

PCI Express is the latest, fast growing technology used in desktop computers for making a high throughput digital connection to peripheral devices.  It takes advantage of higher speed data transfer methods.

If you have recently updated your computer system, you have have noticed some of your device slots are now PCI express. In fact, many newer PC and Mac systems now include only PCI Express slots (please note important details about Apple/Mac system support below).*

If you would like to connect to your digital camera using PCI Express, Diagnostic Instruments  SPOT has a solution for you.  When ordering your camera, from your Diagnostic Instruments authorized dealership or direct sales rep, indicate you are interested in a PCI Express connectivity solution.  They will take care of the rest!   The SPOT PCI Express card is a 1X card that is compatible with any available and open slot in most systems.

If you are a current SPOT Camera owner and would like to update your supported system to PCI Express, contact us and we will connect you with a dealer or sales rep.

If you are using a laptop with ExpressCard connectivity, we have an option available to connect your digital camera as well!

If you own another SPOT PCI based camera system (Insight 300 Series, 400 Series, RT200 Series, RT700 Series and RT900 Series), we do not currently have a PCI Express Solution available for your system.  However, we would like to hear from you regarding your desire for one. Let us know about your application.  We will contact you when a solution or alternate possibility becomes available.
